Our very own energy-efficiency expert, Ryan Kerby, is here to answer your questions on how to become more energy-efficient. He can advise you on what it involves to make your property more efficient and recommend the measures available to you that will help you lower your annual energy bills.

A. One of the cheapest, but most cost saving, is changing your light bulbs to energy savers. If you could manage a few extra pounds then LED’s would make a great change, and are just as powerful.
A. A good one to always remember is only boil the amount of water needed in the kettle to make the required drinks. If you fill to the maximum, and boil each time you are consuming, you use a lot more electricity to boil unwanted water.
A. We do have grants available for External Wall Insulation, some are means tested and some are area specific. We would recommend you talking to a member of our friendly sales team and they will request further information on your location and circumstances. This will allow them to advise you on the funding that may be available to you.
They are the energy ratings of the product and they reflect the consumption of electricity. For example, a quick boil kettle would be an A rate, and a normal would come in at a B/C.
