Textured Render Installed on New Build Family Home

The Challenge

Cornerstone was approached by a private customer completing a single new build project in Cambridgeshire, which was to become their primary residence.  They had been recommended to us by a family member, for whom we had already completed a high quality external render installation.

The new build property was located in the small rural village of Coveney, to the East of Ely.

We were first contacted in late October to survey the property and provide our recommendations for the works, with a commencement date in December that aligned with the many other trades involved in the development.

Our Solution

Cornerstone’s local team of experienced engineers completed the installation in December 2016 prior to the festive season, coordinating our works with the other tradespeople working on the building.  

The works were scheduled for a period of relatively mild temperatures in order to meet the minimum temperature threshold of 5oC, ensuring that the render would dry and cure evenly and achieve a uniform finish.

The system we selected for this property was weber.rend MT 118P, which was ideal for the construction type - stirling board on timber frame.

The Result

In total, 157m2 of render was installed in a light cream shade with a textured finish.

The render works added to the high specification finish of the five bedroom detached property, which was to remain the family home.

The customer was delighted with the speed of the installation, which was completed within a six day period, including drying time.  The quality of our work also justified their choice of Cornerstone as their preferred installer, and further enhanced our reputation within Cambridgeshire.
