Cornerstone is an expert in the insulation of park homes, having installed external wall insulation on more than 100 properties of this type to date.
In September 2018, we secured a contract with Forest Heath District Council to insulate park homes in West Suffolk. Cornerstone will be working with the council to install an appropriate combination of external wall, loft and underfloor insulation in around 25 park homes, contributing ECO funding to ensure the scheme represents best value for money. Currently in the planning stages, Cornerstone is excited to be working with the West Suffolk councils again, having previously delivered a highly successful external wall insulation scheme in Stanton in 2016.
Also in September, we secured a contract to insulate 30 park homes on Hedge Barton Park near Tunbridge Wells for Sevenoaks District Council, in partnership with main contractor Aran Services. Cornerstone is acting as a specialist subcontractor, installing external wall, loft and underfloor insulation in these hard to treat properties and holding joint responsibility for resident liaison. ECO funding is being leveraged to complement Sevenoaks District Council’s budget for the works, allowing them to maximise the scope of the project. An Alumasc external wall insulation system has been selected for installation. Expressions of interest exceeded the council’s expectations, and meant that priority was given to properties without any existing insulation, with the circumstances of the resident also taken into account where appropriate. In total, 30 homes have been selected for the insulation measures - 22 single units and 8 double units – with phase one of the works due to start in Autumn 2018. The second phase will be delivered in Spring 2019, avoiding the festive periods and inclement weather of the Winter period.
In addition, Cornerstone continues to install insulation measures on privately owned park homes on a one-off basis across the East of England.
