CLADDING RELATED WORKS
Specialist Cladding Installers
The term 'cladding' refers to components that are attached to the primary structure of a building to form non-structural, external surfaces – essentially forming a ‘skin’ around the building. Cladding can be made of materials including wood, metal, vinyl and a range of composites, and are often installed as prefabricated panels.
The selection of the most appropriate cladding solution should consider factors including:
- Building usage and local context
- Internal and external conditions
- Planning and building control requirements
- Structural and maintenance requirements
- Preferred appearance
- Budget
Cornerstone works with a number of industry leading manufacturers and fabricators, and can contribute our collective expertise to design and install the optimum cladding solution for your building.
We have experience of installing a range of cladding systems on domestic, commercial and public sector buildings, up to and including high rise properties.
Cornerstone also has experience of removing and replacing existing cladding – including the urgent stripping of dangerous or failed cladding from at-risk buildings such as high rise blocks of social housing.

TYPES OF CLADDING
This type of cladding is typically square-edged and has a timber-like surface finish, making it an ideal aesthetic substitute for real wood cladding. It is an attractive and low maintenance cladding solution, which can be provided in a range of colours and finishes, providing a range of aesthetic options. It is easy to install and resistant to damp, fire and infestation; it won’t warp, shrink or rot, has good weather resistance and can be installed vertically or horizontally.
We work with all the main cladding brands and use only the highest quality materials. The cladding systems we install have fire ratings compliant with prevailing building regulations, ensuring the safety and security of all building users.
